We Procreated

Well, following the commandment to be fruitful and multiply - and much to the delight of our grandparents, parents, and siblings - we created Amelia. She joined our family approximately 16 months ago. We also have baby #2 on the way, but not much is going on there unless you have an immense interested the many degrees of nausea a person (specifically me) can experience. I'm going to assume my nausea is not in the general interest of this audience and so we'll turn our attention back to Amelia.

Amelia is an angel - a delight in every way. She never cries or whines and her moods consist of happy and happier. She is smart as a whip and even did our taxes this year. Okay, okay, well none of that stuff is actually true. In fact, if there is one thing Amelia excels it is making her opinion known often and with much noise and flailing of the extremities.

Things Amelia loves: being outside, shoes, balls, her Raggedy Ann doll, guitars, music, books, pulling the bookmark out of Mommy's book, baths, taking dishes out of dishwasher, pulling wipes out of the wipes warmer, and helping putting the laundry in the dryer. Foods: bananas, yogurt, mandarin oranges, strawberries, green beans, cheese, chocolate chip cookies and strawberry milkshakes.

Things Amelia does not like: being told "no", riding in the car (especially when there is a lot of getting in and out of the car), getting her diaper changed, bedtime, riding in shopping carts, getting her hands and face washed after mealtimes, and when Mommy isn't giving her complete attention.

Amelia loves her Mommy and thinks her Daddy is okay too.

And now for the photos.

I Guess We Have a Blog Now

So my husband tells me a couple weeks ago that he had been blog hopping and decided to jump on the band wagon (not his exact words - more of my summary of them). So I guess we have a blog now. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this. I mean now that we have a blog, people are going to expect us to update it. And then I feel the need to be witty, clever, and interesting. I can tell you right now that my life seems the exact opposite of witty, clever, and interesting. If you asked me what was going on in my life right now, I'd probably tell you that I've caught up on Ugly Betty through Netflix and the wonderful www.abctv.com. I've been feeling pretty miserable lately because I'm have horrible morning sickness. Erik has been painting rooms in our house. Amelia's molars are coming in. Now you know what is going on in our lives. Witty, clever, and interesting it is not. Well perhaps next time.
